St Oswald’s CE VA Primary School in Hebburn have had an exciting morning in the unveiling of their newly revamped Wrap Around Care Provision – Ozzie Owls.  School have kept a separate budget for the provision and spent almost £10,000 providing new flooring, furniture, décor, computing equipment and kitchen.  The provision will have a huge impact on the children who access the provision both before and after school due to parents and carers work commitments.

The provision was opened by Councillor Adam Ellison (Chair of Governors) and both the children and parents/carers were invited to share breakfast in the provision including sausage and bacon rolls.

The Ozzie Owls provision will not only benefit the children who access Wrap Around Care but also the rest of the school community where it will be used as an intervention room, a base to further develop the children’s skills in cookery and also a community provision where weekly coffee mornings are held on a Friday.
