Zachary had a great time in Scotland with his mam, dad and friends over half term!
Anna woke up on the first day of the holidays to find out she was going on a surprise holiday to Lanzarote! It was an amazing sunny, fun packed week away. Anna loved playing in the pools, at the beach, kayaking and dancing the night away! We’ve finished off the holidays with a trip to see Aladdin! She’s excited to see her friends tomorrow.
Simon really wanted you to know that he had a fantastic time going to Belsay Castle and Gardens. He met a real life knight, Sir Richard who showed everyone all the parts of his armour, how it all worked and some different weapons. Sir Richard also ran a sword school. We had great fun exploring the gardens, building a den and looking at all the gorgeous flowers
Reception LOVED outdoor day, one of our favourite parts was marshmallow toasting around the fire pit! Everyone toasted a marshmallow themselves and enjoyed it with friends. Miss Pape even ended the day with some seriously singed arm hair – all worth it for the marshmallows! What a fab day!
Reception had such a fantastic day on Wednesday visiting Prudhoe Castle! We travelled to the castle and spent the day exploring all of the grounds, creating our own shields and re-enacting our own knight’s battle! The weather was perfect and everyone had smiles on their faces from start to finish! What a great way to end our current topic!
Emily and Evie did the 3 mile Children’s Cancer Run yesterday with their mam and dad at Newcastle Race Course. They have raised £120 for charity. It was a great day!
Erin, Matilda and Lily spent Friday evening on Ouseburn Valley enjoying the events of The Late Shows Newcastle. They went to a glitter arty party at the biscuit factory and took part in a silent disco. Then went on to 7 stories and finished off at Ouseburn farm. All events are free and happened all over Newcastle all weekend!
Miss Pape is over the moon to see so much amazing work completed as part of reception’s homework this week! On Friday, reception were given home learning challenge sheets and they could choose a challenge to complete linked to our topic of Dragons, Knights and Castles. Everyone completed OUTSTANDING work at home and we can’t wait to share it. Here is a selection of the castles built, drawings, writing and pictures from our home learning! A big thank you to our fab parents and carers for being such a huge support at home and helping our children produce everything!
